yayy my plant!

i got it. i got it. yay.
it's crazy cool.
and despite other rumors you may have heard, i did not kill it. it's fineee. i promise. anyway, it is actually kind of cool. it hasn't eaten anything yet. luis wasn't here today, so he didn't get to see it yet. i'm sure he will be amazed :D. Our terrerium is not finished yet. We still need to finish building our model of The Church Of Our Lady Mary Of Zion. Yeah I know, that's a really long weird name for a church. It's a church in Axum that holds the Ark Of The Covenant. Me and Nikki worked a little more on our welcome sign. It's pretty much done. We kinda started our brochure today. We did the front pagee.

Today...
Me, Nikki, and Destiny worked on our extra project thing. We are doing a welcome sign, and a brochure, for the carnivorous plant group. We haven't gotten that much done yet. It is due on Wednesday. Yesterday I turned in my interpretive panel. I wish mine was more creative, and not just a piece of laminated paper, so I'll try to make our extra credit thing good to get a better grade.

Yesterday I brought our terrarium, and we ordered our carnivorous plant. How exciting! I just can't wait until it gets here. I still have to think of a name for it. Today I worked on my interpretive panel some more. It was a little harder though, because the internet wasn't working and I needed to get more pictures, but I did what I could. I want to think of something that will make mine creative and different from other peoples, but I can't come up with any ideas. I really need to start working on the extra project thing, because it would be nice to get an A.

BTW, this is what my plant looks like...

interpretive panel

wooh! Yesterday...
I made a rough draft of what my interpretive panel about the Nepenthes Ventricosa will look like. Cheyenne critisized it, and pretty much only had good things to say about it. I really want to do this thing with a button. Luis says that he can probably help me to do it, because it would be really cool if we had it. Other than that, my interpretive panel is pretty clean and simple.
Today...
I really haven't done that much work on my panel. I don't have all the materials that I need to complete it, because I was busy over the weekend. Right now I am just trying to figure out all the information that will be on the panel. I am also trying to find an eye-catching picture of the Nepenthes Ventricosa. Since we don't have it yet, I will probably just get a photo from the internet. Luis and I really need to buy our plant soon, because we need it by Thursday. He says he has a website that we can buy it from.

MY LESSON PLAN :]

So, today Luis and I presented our lesson plan about Ancient African Geography. We had our powerpoint, which showed a few of the many important geographical landfroms in Africa, and the importance of them to the Ancient Africans. Doing a powerpoint was not as creative as I would have liked to have been, but under the time circumstances it was was pretty good, but it didn't exceed expectations. Our interactive activity was a word search, also not very unique and creative. Our overall presentaion was good, but it definately could have been better. Now, we pretty much just have to deal with actually building our terrarium, and the structures inside it. Hopefully we can get all of it done by exhibition.

:O

hmmm...
Today Luis and I worked on our powerpoint for our lesson plan. We added some things about the importance of The Nile. We still didn't really get that much done though. I think me or Luis might work on it over the weekend. Today we found out that our group is presenting our lesson plans on Tuesday.

Yo.
Today...Luis(my partner) and I did more research on ancient african geography for our lesson plan. our skit

Hello friends. :D
Yesterday...
We watched the other groups skits, and learned many new, interesting facts about mammals, fish, reptiles & amphibians, and insects!!! They were informative and funny!
Today...
My group performed our crocodile hunter skit about carnivorous plants. Here is the song we sang. Carnivorous plants. Carnivorous plants. Everybody get up and dance. Let's sing a song about carnivorous plants. They eat flies and they eat bugs, but no they don't eat yucky slugs. They just eat those pesky flies and bugs. YUMMY!

the crocodile hunter

Today...
My group and I worked on getting 10 important facts together that we would present in our crocodile hunter skit. I am in a group with Nikki, Destiny, Kevin, and Cheyenne. We didn't have a lot of time to work on our actual skit. Pretty much, the only thing we figured out was that Kevin is going to be the crocodile hunter, and Destiny is going to be the camera...woman.

first blog :D

Today...
Luis and I went over our field notes, and integrated parts of each of ours into one paper with the most important key facts about the ecological importance of plantae. After we finished, we e-mailed it to Mr. Davis and gave him a printed copy. One new fact that I learned, was that humans depend on plants for food, either directly or indirectly.
